Senator Gravel appeared on Washington Journal with Rob Harleston in May 2007. He answered questions from Rob as well as from guest callers.
A few of the questions concerned the Iraq War and the senator reiterated his plan to withdraw troops and proceed diplomatically as it is in the best interest of both US troops and Iraqi civilians.
Other questions from callers concerned same sex marriage (which he’s in favor of), MARIJAUNA LEGALIZATION (decriminalize marijuana and fund rehabilitation), illegal immigration (protect our borders, stem the flow of undocumented immigrants, fix NAFTA), government secrecy (open up the files) and Native American rights.
Senator Gravel spoke extensively on the NATIONAL INITIATIVE and of the record of fellow democrats in the race, particularly Hillary Clinton. He also mentioned Gov. Vilsack dropping out and the influence of money and media on the race.
